Maddie and Russ came to us with a vision for a modern twist on the traditional black and white wedding. Their venue, The Farnam Hotel in Downtown Omaha is a modern urban space, so we chose to lean into the colors and design elements inherent to the venue when creating their design. We brought color in through slate blue hues and blue hydrangea woven into the otherwise white and black floral. On the tables we opted for a mix of bold floral and solid linens to create the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional looks.
The couple's top priorities were ensuring guests had an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The ceremony was held in the first floor lobby - a non-traditional space differentiated from the rest of the lobby by a black and white backdrop. Immediately following the ceremony guests made their way up one flight of stairs to cocktail hour complete with live music and signature drinks. Upon entering the reception space guests were greeted with a 270 degree view of the downtown skyline. After dinner was served, a live band got everyone on the dance floor.
